Do you want to make the building sector more sustainable? Do you want to contribute to the Sustainability framework of large real estate firms? Do you want to help guide them toward a truly sustainable environment?


What you will be doing 

  • You manage the ESG Business unit and work closely with the management team to ensure alignment and cross-pollination with our other teams. Role of ESG team:
  • Support and advise real estate companies (developers, real estate funds) in defining their ESG strategy and framework, support their compliance with EU requirements such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR…
  • Evaluate, advise, and follow up on ESG Ratings and ESG reporting frameworks, including GRESB, GRI, Inrev, EPRA, Sustainalytics, MSCI, …
  • Support companies in their annual ESG reporting and external communication, including investors’ related communication
  • Help set up Sustainability Frameworks for Green and Sustainable bonds and loans, or other financial purposes

As a manager you:

  • Coach your team, manage long and short-term planning & priorities
  • Manage the major accounts of the ESG team
  • Develop the ESG team further: business development, new services, content creation, recruiting, marketing and communication strategy
  • Ensure profitability, manage P&L of the team
  • Report to the CEO and advise management

Job requirements

What you’ll bring

• You have a master’s degree and a specialization in CSR/ESG and sustainability with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the real estate industry

• You are an experienced leader who takes the lead, has extensive experience working with clients, possesses strong organizational skills, and can take decisions autonomously

• You have experience with GRESB, as well as with the UN SDGs, GRI, EPRA, …

• You have general knowledge of sustainable building standards and certifications (EPB, BREEAM, WELL,) or are willing to learn about them. Having experience in the design of sustainable buildings is a big plus.

• You speak English and Dutch or French
