Commercial Operations Lead

Make a commercial impact in the construction and real estate sector

Are you commercially savvy, detail-oriented, and skilled at follow-up? Do you thrive on client interaction, thorough follow-up, and converting leads into actual business?

Then this role at SuReal might be just right for you.

SuReal is a fast-growing international consulting firm headquartered in Brussels. We advise private and public organizations on sustainable buildings and cities. With our focus on measurable sustainability solutions, we aim to combat greenwashing and create real impact.

We’re looking for a Commercial Operations Lead who will play a central role in our commercial growth. You’ll serve as the link between clients, consultants, experts, marketing, and management, and oversee the commercial process from lead to partnership.

This is not a traditional “hunter” role. You won’t be doing cold calling or actively seeking out new clients. Instead, you’ll take ownership of lead follow-up, client development, sales coordination, and closing. You’ll ensure that incoming and existing commercial opportunities are maximized and that our sales approach is continuously improved.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Customer Follow-Up

·       Actively follow up on incoming leads and convert them into business

·       Organize calls and meetings and facilitate client discussions and offers in collaboration with consultants and experts

·       Follow up with existing and dormant clients and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling

·       Monitor the sales pipeline and ensure that no opportunity is lost

·       Continuously optimize and improve the lead follow-up process

2. Sales Development & Commercial Initiatives

·       Work with internal stakeholders to determine where and how SuReal can generate additional business

·       Join colleagues to client meetings to support deal closing

·       Develop and monitor concrete sales action plans related to services, markets, customers, or time periods

·       Contribute ideas on pricing, commercial positioning, and opportunities in various countries

3. Bids

·       Coordinate and issue tenders in close collaboration with consultants and experts

·       Help prepare bids and position them strongly from a commercial perspective

·       Monitor deadlines, quality, and completeness, and proactively follow up with colleagues

You are an experienced sales professional who is relationship-oriented, entrepreneurial, and exceptionally skilled at follow-up.

·       At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, sales operations, tender management, or a similar commercial role

·       Experience with lead follow-up, client contact, and closing deals

·       Strong in sales calls, client meetings, and building relationships

·       Meticulous and organized, with an eye for deadlines and details

·       Assertive and a strong communicator with various stakeholders

·       Commercial acumen and the ability to convincingly explain complex services to clients

·       Experience with proposals, tenders, or public bids

·       Self-reliant, proactive, and strong in taking ownership and following through

·       Experience in real estate, construction, engineering, or consulting is a strong plus

·       Experience with international clients and various markets is a plus

·       Dutch and French: very good

·       English: excellent, both spoken and written. Our commercial documents, proposals, and tenders are drafted in English.

What can you expect?

·       A key role in the commercial growth of a growing international consulting firm

·       Work directly with the CEO, consultants, experts, and marketing

·       A broad commercial role in which you’ll work on both operational and strategic levels

·       A high degree of autonomy and the freedom to help shape sales processes and initiatives

·       A strong focus on sustainability, real estate, and innovation

·       Flexible work hours and the option to work from home

·       A good work-life balance and a competitive compensation package in line to your experience

·       A trendy office near the Botanique, close to Brussels-North

·       Bike leasing, mobility budget, and other sustainable transportation options
